Get ready to pop into action with Trail's End Popcorn – Pack 825's fall fundraiser is going to be a blast! With an array of fall parties, cooler weather, Fall break, and many upcoming holidays, now is the perfect time for popcorn!

The more popcorn a Scout sells, the more commission he or she accumulates, which can help offset their annual pack dues payment, as well as family campout payments. As a non-profit organization, we rely almost entirely on fundraising to help cover the cost of running our pack successfully – that includes campouts, equipment, rental fees, and supplies.

Our goal is to help all of our Scouts reach ZERO out-of-pocket costs for pack dues and other payments, so it's to every Scout's benefit to get involved and participate in fundraising. Scouts lead by asking shoppers for their interest in buying popcorn, but parents also play an important role by signing up their Scouts for shifts and being present throughout the shift window.

🍿 Why Popcorn?

Selling popcorn isn't just about popular flavors (though they are definitely a bonus!). It's a chance for you to shine as you learn to talk to people, share your excitement, and work towards your goals. Selling popcorn is like unlocking a number of important life skills:

  • Communication: Sharpen your speaking skills as you tell everyone about popcorn flavors they will love. For example, you can explain that their purchase and/or donation helps Pack 825 host fun activities, including campouts and other adventures.

  • Character Building: Hone your integrity, responsibility, and teamwork as you work with your parents or with your fellow den mates and other Scouts to achieve something awesome.

  • Goal Smashing: Set your sights on reaching your personal sales goal and experience the satisfaction of achieving it!

  • Fund Your Scout Account: Not only do you earn cool prizes for your hard work, but the funds you raise go right into your Pack 825 account, helping you offset the cost of campouts and other pack activities throughout the year!

🚀 How Can You Sell?

Pack 825 is all about making this fundraiser fun and exciting for everyone. This year, we're going full throttle with online popcorn sales, storefront sales, and wagon sales to showcase your popcorn-selling prowess. Scouts BSA offers 3 ways to sell popcorn:

  • Storefront Sales: Pack 825 is offering several opportunities for Scouts to sell popcorn outside Tractor Supply Co. on Angel Parkway in Allen. Scouts should be in their Class A uniform so shoppers can easily identify them as Scouts with Pack 825.

  • Online Sales: Tap into your tech-savvy side and use your unique Scout code to sell popcorn to friends and family online – even those far away can support your adventure. Be as creative as you want – you and a parent could even make a quick video to share on Facebook! Each Scout gets a unique store link and QR code to share with friends and family on their Trail's End account page.

  • Wagon Sales: Load up a wagon with popcorn and hit your neighborhood with smiles and enthusiasm, offering popcorn to folks who can't resist your charm. We recommend that parents wanting their Scout to do wagon sales order a reasonable amount to be shipped to them directly, then their Scout can walk their neighborhood to sell it. Orders over $65 ship free; it's an easier way to get the product for those who only want to buy one bag and not pay for shipping.

  • Other: Sometimes, a customer may not be interested in popcorn – that's OK! They can still donate any amount they choose to help support Scouting and our pack, and we greatly appreciate it all the same. They can donate via Trail's End or anytime on our pack website.
